An abstract are a brief overview, maybe not an evaluative overview of a longer piece of writing. Different kinds of abstracts include various facts. Personal research and systematic abstracts include an announcement associated with studies difficulty or purpose, an announcement about recent approaches and a gap in the literary works (for theses, although not always journal posts), an announcement of this means and strategy and a directory of the results therefore the conclusions. Humanities abstracts incorporate a description of problem, a statement of existing strategies and space for the literary works (for theses and exegeses, yet not always journal posts), the primary position or ‘argument’ and an overview of the articles.
